Full Stack Developer - Christchurch - up to £55,000 DOE
Our client based in Christchurch, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to help scale their flagship platform, for a growing global user base.
The successful candidate will work across the stack - from PHP back end to front end - delivering high-quality, scalable solutions while mentoring junior developers and influencing technical direction.
Key responsibilities:
Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to the development team.
Plan, organise, and oversee software development projects from concept to release.
Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
Support the growth and development of junior team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to keep quarterly projects on track.
Research, adopt, and implement new technologies and best practices to continuously improve the platform.
Shadow the Engineering Manager and deputise when required.
Skills required:
Strong PHP (Laravel or similar), TypeScript, SQL skills.
Experience with Angular (or React/VueJS with willingness to learn Angular).
5+ years in software development, Agile/Scrum experience.
Leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
