What you’ll be doing
as an Operations Data & Insight Analyst
1. Building and automating data processes, reports, and dashboards using SQL, Power BI and Excel.
2. Working with large, varied datasets from sources, customer feedback, and operational systems to generate meaningful insights.
3. Translating complex data into clear, visual insights for stakeholders, supporting decision-making across teams and senior management.
4. Documenting and optimising ETL processes, data models, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and knowledge sharing.
This is a hybrid role based at Kemble Court, Reading (RG2 6AD).
What you should bring to the role
5. Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and working with large operational datasets, ideally within a utilities or infrastructure environment.
6. Strong technical skills in SQL, Power BI, Power Query, and Excel, statistical modelling, or similar analytical tools being an advantage.
7. Understanding of data architecture and ETL processes.
8. Excellent attention to detail, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
