What is a Personal Assistant?
A personal assistant provides essential support to individuals with their care needs in their own home. Your primary focus will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This is not domiciliary care, in this role you will work with a single individual for longer periods of time.
What we are looking for:
You don't need any prior experience. Our training course will give you a solid grounding in the conditions you will support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow instructions patiently and respectfully.
How do I access training?
We offer a full video-based training course on our website to equip you with the knowledge you need to support people with neuromuscular conditions, and provide a certificate on completion. We also run monthly training sessions which offer an opportunity to finesse your learning on everything from supporting an individual on ventilation to supporting a parent with a neuromuscular condition.
