Job purpose Sales Consultants are tasked with maximizing the sales and profitability of vehicles, finance and insurance products. They should develop the necessary organization to enable them to effectively achieve their performance objectives. Department overview Aston Martin Works is the historic home of Aston Martin, operating as a dealership selling, repairing and servicing new and used vehicles in the UK in addition to sourcing, repairing, restoring and selling heritage Aston Martin vehicles worldwide. Key duties and responsibilities Provide all customers with a level of service that will achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty. Ensure that customer sales and order processes are maintained correctly to avoid delay, mistakes or extra cost. Seek to improve all aspects of quality and minimise customer complaints, dissatisfaction and defection. Maintain robust and reliable administration systems to ensure that all records are accurate and kept up to date. Ensure dealership safety and security procedures exist and are operated at all times. Monitor cleanliness of showroom, forecourt sales area and other sales-related areas. Maintain a professional working relationship with all other departmental managers. Advise Dealer Principal/General Manager and all other managers on all matters relating to new and used vehicle sales and associated products. Share with the sales team all news, facts and information relating to the products sold, rival products, and market developments. Ensure adequate product display and point of sale material is available and visible. Experience and qualifications Essential experience Selling and marketing skills, knowledge and experience of the retail motor industry at a high level. Exceptional customer facing and interpersonal skills to enable difficult situations to be overcome successfully. An ability to negotiate effectively and at a high level together with good numeracy and literacy skills. Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practices. Knowledge and comprehension of the Trade Descriptions, Consumer Protection and Consumer Credit Laws. Preferred experience A proven track record of successful sales experience. Evidence of good customer satisfaction score results Experience within Aston Martin at another dealer group, or similar luxury brand dealing with high net worth individuals Essential education/ qualifications FCA certification Full UK Drivers License Required skills/ behaviours The Sales Consultant requires exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people from all walks of life. They must be self-motivated and have a high degree of organization.
