An amazing SEND Specialist School in Braunstone is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from May 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position supporting students with a range of complex needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About The Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally. Working closely with teachers and the wider support team, you’ll ensure each pupil receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
2. Assist in delivering personalised learning plans and interventions
3. Help manage behaviour and promote positive interactions
4. Collaborate with class teachers and external professionals
5. Support pupils with physical and emotional needs throughout the school day
6. Contribute to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
7. Previous experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting)
8. A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
11. A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
