An elderly lady in the Seaton Delaval area is looking for a committed female personal support worker to help her remain independent and provide support to access social and leisure activities.
The lady lives at home with her partner and is also supported by her daughter. The support is to allow her to access social activities when her partner and daughter are unavailable.
She is a friendly individual who requires somebody with a calm, patient demeanor and a willingness to build up a sound rapport with her over time.
Some support with personal care is required and this will be discussed at the interview.
Social activities would include:
* Spending time out at local shops such as Boundary Mills
* Accompanying her to hairdresser appointments
* Accessing local coffee shops or visiting places of interest
* Supporting her at home if she prefers to remain indoors
Support is required:
* Every Saturday – either between 1pm –5pm or 2pm-6pm
* 2 x 3 hour blocks to be used at other times during the week
* Alternate Tuesday evenings between 4pm and 7pm would be preferred
A full enhanced disclosure and barring certificate to support the adult work force would be required. Full cost to be met by the employer
As appropriate, training will be provided both in person, on the job and also via an electronic e-learning system.
