Production Manager (Night Shift) - Manufacturing Site
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Production Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at a busy manufacturing site. This role involves managing a team, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Hours of work will be on static night shifts working 18.30-06.30 (Averaging 42 hrs per week). Salary circa £38,000 per annum DOE, rising to £40,000 per annum, after completion of successful probationary and training period.
As Production Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Manage production, equipment availability, and team performance to achieve production and quality goals.
Oversee the manufacturing process, including planning, storage, and dispatch to achieve highest level of weekly invoiced product.
Maintain high-quality customer service.
Implement health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Supervise and develop a team of direct reports, ensuring effective training and team motivation.
Coordinate stock management and address non-conforming products.
Collaborate with the management team to improve operations and employee welfare.
Ensure efficient use of company resources to minimise operating costs.
Have key input into developing the company's continuous improvement culture to achieve plans for future growth alongside increasing machine reliability to improve performance outputs.
To be successful in the position of Production Manager, you will possess the following skills and experience:
Proven track record of successfully working as a Production / Manufacturing Manager.
Capable of coaching and developing a high-performing team.
Experience with continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
ILM Level 3-5 would be highly advantageous.
Ability to communicate effectively and foster collaboration at all levels.
Proficient in computer skills.
Positive and proactive attitude.
Willingness to support subordinates outside of normal working hours when needed.
This position is based in Halesowen and is easily commutable from Hagley, Stourbridge, Dudley, Edgbaston, Cradley Heath, Alvechurch, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Wednesbury, and Birmingham.
