Controls Engineer
Based in Oxfordshire
8 month contract
£50 per hour outside IR35
Are you passionate about food production, quality, and innovative manufacturing? We\'re looking for a talented Controls Engineer to design, develop, and optimise automation systems that keep our food production lines running safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop control systems for industrial processes and machinery
* Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
* Conduct system testing, commissioning, and ongoing support
* Optimise performance, reliability, and safety of automated systems
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or related field
* Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen–Bradley)
* Previous experience within FMCG, Automation or similar
* Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* You must be eligible to live and work within the UK. Sponsorship is not provided.
