Senior Ecologist - Cambridge (Hybrid)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Our client-an established, respected ecological consultancy-is seeking a motivated Senior Ecologist to join their thriving Cambridge team. What you'll be doing:
* Leading and coordinating ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and technical reporting
* Managing project delivery, budgets, and client relationships
* Designing and overseeing protected species survey programmes
* Providing expert ecological advice to clients, planners, and multi-disciplinary teams
* Mentoring and developing junior ecologists
* Supporting protected species licence applications and mitigation strategies
* Contributing to biodiversity net gain planning and implementation
What we're looking for:
* Proven consultancy ecology experience at senior level
* Strong technical knowledge and report‑writing skills
* Confident project management and client liaison abilities
* Protected species licences and CIEEM membership (or working toward) highly desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
