Job Overview
Mountjoy School is seeking a caring and reliable midday supervisor to join our experienced and friendly team and support pupils with lunchtime activities. This role involves supervising pupils in the school hall and classes while they eat, supervising children while they play outside, and assisting some pupils with toileting and personal care.
Working Hours
Working hours will be 11.30am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday, term‑time only. This is a term‑time only position for 10.00 hours per week and 38 weeks per year.
Salary
Actual salary £5,641 - £5,729 per annum (Grade 3, SCP 3‑4) pay award pending. The pro‑rata salary is based on hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. Salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part‑way through the school year.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to have a Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with the Government’s safer recruitment guidelines, and must have the right to work in the UK. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. The amendments to the ROA 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020) provide that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’, so they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account.
