Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception (Full-Time)
Location: Preston
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, Full-Time, Term-Time Only
A vibrant and inclusive Primary School in Preston is seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their Reception class.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to Reception-aged children with a range of SEN needs (e.g., speech and language, ASD, sensory processing, social/emotional challenges)
* Assist with implementing EHCPs and differentiated learning plans
* Use strategies to support emotional regulation, communication, and behaviour
* Foster a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
* Work collaboratively with staff, external professionals, and families
Requirements
* Essential: Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within an EYFS or primary school setting
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and inclusive teaching strategies
* A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
* Excellent communication, observation, and record-keeping skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
