Responsibilities
1. Maintain Fixed Asset registers for various Group companies, recording additions, disposals and periodic depreciation.
2. Maintain Capital Expenditure Approval Register, ensuring full coverage of spend.
3. Prepare daily and monthly Bank Reconciliations.
4. Prepare and post monthly Journal Entries.
5. Assist with preparation of monthly and annual Management Accounts for various Divisions.
6. Administer and reconcile head office Petty Cash.
7. Ad-hoc and sundry analyses.
8. Act as direct assistant to Management Accountants.
9. Other accounting duties, as directed by Management Accountants.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
10. Previous experience working within a busy Accounts Department.
11. Background in bookkeeping and core accounting disciplines, including related academic qualifications.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
13. Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
14. Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced, changeable environment.
15. Sound understanding of controls and authorisation procedures.
16. Attention to detail.
17. The flexibility to be self-motivated and also able to work well in a small team.
