We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us. We are a small residential home in Pegswood, Morpeth supporting people with learning disabilities and complex health needs. We have 5 people living at Bentinck currently, and are accepting referrals for 2 voids. Our ages range from 37 to 70. Our needs are very varied and the support we need requires the staff team to be flexible and adaptable to change. We have different challenges in our lives which include mobility support needs, mental health issues and stoma care as well as learning disabilities. The staff team are all trained to meet our needs and have training in our medical conditions as well as stoma care, medication administration and moving and positioning There are 4 core staff on each shift each day, with 2 extra staff on short shifts every day to support us out into the community. We have 2 staff at night; one waking night and one sleep in. The shift pattern consists of 0800-1500, 1500-2200, 0800-2200, sleep in 2200-0700 and night shift 2200-0700. Our shifts for support in the community are 1000-1600 or 1000-1700. Staff shifts are flexible to meet our needs and preferences. We need our staff to be trained in learning disabilities, mental health, stoma care, and PBS. We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience.
