A long-established and highly regarded main contractor, recognised for delivering premium commercial spaces in some of London’s most iconic buildings, is seeking a Technical Services Manager to join their growing team. With nearly 70 years of experience and a reputation for delivering complex fit-out and refurbishment schemes with precision, this contractor works on projects ranging from £10 million to £250 million in value.
Known for its client-focused delivery model and consistent repeat business, the company offers an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional to take ownership of MEP coordination across fast-paced, high-spec commercial fit-outs in Central London.
The Role:
As Technical Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the MEP delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. You will act as the technical voice of the project, working alongside project managers, design teams, and supply chain partners to ensure high standards across all building services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead MEP coordination and integration from design through to final commissioning
* Represent the MEP discipline in client, consultant, and design meetings
* Review and manage technical submissions, drawings, and O&M documentation
* Collaborate with project and planning teams to drive programme performance
* Manage MEP-related RFIs, change control, and coordination issues on site
* Support pre-construction activities, including technical assessments and tender reviews
About You:
We are looking for someone who brings:
* A background in mechanical or electrical building services, with a working understanding of both disciplines
* Experience delivering fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally with a main contractor or MEP subcontractor
* A detail-driven, solution-focused approach with confidence across all project stages
* Strong communication and coordination skills, both internally and client-facing
* A proactive mindset and ambition to progress within a high-performing team
