About the Company
Venn Group is working with a well-regarded and busy London local authority in their search for a Property Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 6 month role.
About the Role
This role involves working as a Property Litigation Lawyer (with Debt Recovery and Civil Litigation) on a locum basis.
Responsibilities
* Handling a caseload of property litigation matters
* Managing debt recovery proceedings on behalf of the council
* Advising on and progressing a range of general civil litigation cases
* Assisting in reducing a significant backlog of files
* Supporting the in-house legal team with ad-hoc litigation matters
Qualifications
* Solid background in property litigation, ideally within the public sector
* Experience with debt recovery litigation processes
* Competence in managing general civil claims in the County Court
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Comfortable working remotely and managing a flexible caseload
Required Skills
* Property litigation expertise
* Debt recovery litigation experience
* Remote working proficiency
Length of Contract: 6 months, with strong potential for extension
Working Pattern: Full time – 36 hours
Location: Local Authority in London
Office attendance: Ideally once a fortnight (flexible, including fully remote)
