Our client are a leading industrial manufacturer supplying high-quality products to a wide range of markets. With continued investment in people, plant and processes we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join the engineering team on a days-based shift pattern.
Maintenance Electrician - The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient running of electrical systems across our site. You’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and repair on a wide range of production machinery and supporting equipment. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, where minimising downtime and maintaining high standards of safety are key.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production machinery, plant and services.
Responding quickly to breakdowns to reduce downtime.
Supporting continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
Working closely with other engineers and production teams to ensure targets are met.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and adhering to site safety procedures.
Maintenance Electrician - About You
We are looking for a time-served, multi-skilled Maintenance Electrician with experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. You should be proactive, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Essential skills & experience:
Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 18th Edition).
Proven background in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems (advantageous but not essential).
Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
