Execution and evaluation of application test measurements with process gas analyzers. Internal and external documentation of application measurement results. Contact person for application questions from PM, R&D, Operations, Service and Sales. Conducting Pre-sales and Application Meetings. Definition, preparation and execution of field tests.
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support pre-sales commercial and technical evaluation process. Review of complex measurement requests, clarifying technical questions, providing go / no go decisions.
* Provide technical specifications and work ups for complex analyzer quotations.
* Carry out technical review of complex order measurement requirements, with confirmation of quotation work up or adjustment as necessary.
* Support sample system design for gas analyzer orders and projects.
* Attend internal Application Meetings and provide application expertise for the wider gas analysis organization.
* Assist Operations and Service with difficult applications (e.g. dangerous gases, special measurements) and debug of analyzers.
* Configure analyzers to customer requirements, carrying out lab testing as required.
* Develop new methods for customer needs (projects, approvals, orders) and market opportunities. Carry out desktop and laboratory studies to confirm Gas Analysis product capabilities.
* Perform measurements to determine specifications for new components/parts and prototype analyzers
* Record, analyze and interpret results from analyzer tests (prototype, new methods, production, field trials), prepare reports and make recommendations as appropriate.
* Develop and document standard applications, using appropriate tools, e.g., programming automation routines for standard application measurements in LabView.
* Create and maintain technical application literature for others to use, e.g., application notes.
* Conduct application training for technicians, service and sales engineers (measurement principles and new applications)

* Provide post sales technical support for customers and service engineers.
* Support field trials and installations of beta test systems or new application approvals. This is likely to require international travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Degree or Master’s Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline – preferably chemistry, chemical engineering
* Experience in measurement instrumentation
* Experience in gas analytical technologies, minimum 3 years
* Practical experiences in lab
* Knowledge of gas / liquid chromatography
* Know-how of chemical process industry
* Knowledge of MS Office
* Ability to create English literature
