Overview
As a Safety Engineer, you'll support the safety of nuclear and radiological facilities that enable the Royal Navy to operate safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
* Providing expert advice on nuclear and radiological safety
* Supporting safety case development for the 9 Dock Design and Safety Engineering team
* Advising on safety analysis underpinning Devonport Royal Dockyard Limited (DRDL) safety cases
* Contributing to the transformation and sustainability of Devonport Dockyard
* Building and maintaining knowledge of submarine systems and reactor plant performance
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or Science discipline
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership
* Experience in safety engineering or design
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* Knowledge of submarine systems (advantageous)
* Experience within the nuclear sector (advantageous)

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
