Financial Controller – Infrastructure
Farnham – Hybrid – Permanent – Well-backed infrastructure business
£75,000–£85,000 + bonus & benefits
We’re working with a PE-backed infrastructure business to hire a new Financial Controller. Since the fund came on board, the business has doubled its EBITDA and continues to scale with confidence.
Reporting to a high-calibre Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping the finance function as the company grows. It’s a great opportunity for someone with the ambition to become a future No.1 — offering real exposure, autonomy, and the chance to step up over time.
WISH LIST
* Strong background in financial control, audit, and reporting
* Confident leading a team and building relationships across the business
* Comfortable managing group consolidations and month-end processes
THE ROLE
* Lead and develop a finance team of 5 (3 direct, 2 indirect)
* Own the full month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
* Oversee AP, AR, and nominal ledger accuracy
* Prepare group consolidated accounts and financial statements
* Manage the external audit and year-end process
* Deliver cash flow forecasts and working capital management
* Own tax, VAT, CIS, and statutory reporting
* Drive budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
* Oversee finance systems, policies, and process improvement
* Present financial data to the Board alongside the Finance Director
* Support insurance renewals and reporting to external stakeholders
YOUR PROFILE
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
* Effective communicator – written & verbal
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel
* 1 - 2 + years' post-qualified experience in a senior finance role
* Ambitious, with the drive to grow into a future No.1 role
