The Trust has secured a share of £350m national funding to be one of the first 40 new Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) announced by the Government and NHS. The new Community Diagnostic Centre is part of the Crown Street Enhancements Programme at Liverpool Women’s and will include brand new CT, and MRI imaging facilities, due for completion in February 2023. In addition to this the department has recently invested in updating the x-ray, DEXA and ultrasound facilities with considerable investment in equipment. They will be able to organise workload efficiently and liaise with referrers and other staff to optimise service delivery. The Radiographer may be expected to undertake training in and reporting of DEXA scanning. Participation in equipment testing and analysis for Quality Assurance is required. A minimum of 2 years post qualification and registration is desirable.
