A vacancy has arisen for a Project Manager, to join our team.
The Project Manager role exists to support project delivery across all sites, both regionally and nationally.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -
Leading project delivery, working closely with the operations, engineering and design teams to achieve the required project outputs, standards and specifications.
Financial responsibility for projects - reporting on and managing commercial aspects
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer/ client focus
Working together with the PMO to deliver the project through the end-to-end process
Collaborative and close working with engineering and design teams
Actively developing relationships externally with clients, professional teams, stakeholders and end users
Resource management and liaising with the project delivery staff to optimise resource utilisation.
Producing monthly reports on current projects, including program, financials, contractual and resources issues
Actively promoting and driving good practices and cultures within the business including health, safety, quality and environmental.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-
Good project management experience, or experience in a similar role
NVQ Level 6 Construction management/ Prince 2 or APM qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
CSCS Card - black or relevant industry accreditation
SMSTS training
Knowledge of CDM2015 regulations, pertaining to the Principal Contractor role
IOSH or NEBOSH (or working towards)
Fully converse with Microsoft Office Package
Customer service focus
Practical, logical, adaptable with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Ability to build effective relationships
Effective communicator; by phone, in writing and in person
Positive attitude towards safety and reporting unsafe conditions
