Our Family and Adolescent Support Team (FAST) – North is looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Consultant Social Worker who is committed to improving outcomes for adolescents facing risks outside of their family homes, including exploitation, missing, peer and contextual harm.
About the Role
We are recruiting a Consultant Social Worker for our FAST – North on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing expert consultation and practice oversight on complex adolescent cases, including exploitation, missing, serious youth violence and peer harm
* Modelling and embedding high‑quality, relationship‑based, trauma‑informed and contextual safeguarding practice
* Coaching, mentoring and supporting practitioners through reflective discussions, co‑working and practice development
* Supporting quality assurance activity, including audits, learning reviews and thematic analysis
* Strengthening multi‑agency safeguarding responses across Police, Health, Education and community partners
Compensation
Consultant Social Worker – Grade O: up to £53,769 per annum (includes a £3,500 pro‑rated annual market supplement). Relocation allowance up to £8,000 may be available from 1st April 2026 if policy criteria are met.
Key Requirements
* Professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration
