Highland Consulting Group is working with a growing General Contractor in the Rochester, NY area to find an experienced Assistant Project Manager.
This permanent, full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to commercial new builds and improvement projects while supporting seasoned Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
2. Support project managers in supervising all phases of assigned projects.
3. Assist with scheduling, budget management, and subcontractor buyouts.
4. Help negotiate and track change orders.
5. Interface directly with owners and stakeholders.
6. Maintain comprehensive project records and close-out documentation.
7. Coordinate and perform punch-list inspections with superintendents and owners.
Qualifications:
8. 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager with a General Contractor on projects exceeding $3M.
9. Strong understanding of construction documentation and project management support.
10. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
11. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
12. A Bachelors degree in construction or related field is preferred but not required.

Anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes that the attached salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position.
