Are you hardworking, enjoy being outdoors, and looking to start a career in ground engineering? We are looking for a motivated Geotechnical Site Technician to join our specialist team.
Whether you are experienced in site investigations or looking for a new challenge where you can learn on the job, we provide the training and support needed to help you succeed.
The Role
This is a hands-on, physically active role based outdoors on various sites, including agricultural land and construction projects. You will be an essential part of the data collection process, helping our engineers understand ground conditions for client reports.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Fieldwork: Collecting soil samples and conducting in-situ ground testing.
Specialist Operations: Ground drilling (dynamic sampling and probe testing).
Site Preparation: Breaking out hard standing and hand-digging shallow excavations.
Logistics: Managing sample handling, storage, and disposal with high accuracy.
What We Are Looking For
Reliability: A strong work ethic and a willingness to "get your hands dirty" in all weather conditions.
Education: Minimum GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Numeracy and Literacy.
Requirements: A clean UK driving licence is essential. (Candidates must be aged 21+ for insurance purposes).
Attitude: A proactive team player who takes pride in the accuracy of their work.
