Health & Safety Manager
Salary: £45,718 - £57,148
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location & Postcode: Nationwide role with regular travel across EfW sites (England, Scotland & Wales)
As a Health & Safety Manager at FCC Environment, you will provide professional advice, governance, assurance and support to Directors, Managers and operational teams to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and internal management systems. This nationwide role supports consistency, independence and continuous improvement across EfW sites, with a strong focus on Safety Rules, Permit to Work and high-risk activities.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing?
- Act as a focal point for Health & Safety best practice across the EfW division
- Provide advice, guidance and assurance to operational managers to drive continual improvement
- Lead and support Safety Rules audits, investigations and corrective action tracking
- Support and coordinate Safety Rules authorisation and training administration, including panels and records
- Act as system owner for Safety Rules H&S platforms, ensuring governance and data quality
- Analyse incident, audit and investigation data and produce structured reports for senior leadership
- Support the development and delivery of Health & Safety improvement plans
- Liaise with external regulators, including the HSE and other enforcement bodies
- Provide independent challenge and assurance where Safety Rules or legal compliance are at risk
- Promote and embed a positive safety culture across all EfW sites
