Dylans Group are looking for a specialist Group Pastry Chef to lead the pastry offering for their three sites in central St Albans - The Boot Cantina, Dylans at The Kings Arms and the soon-to-open Ibēros. This exciting new role will involve creating desserts, baked items and bread as needed for the 3 different sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and creative chef who wants the flexibility to work across three different restaurant sites.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Working with the site head chefs to design high quality desserts and baked items for their menus
Assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
Manage kitchen cleanliness and maintain high standards of hygiene and practices in line with our 5* EHO ratings.
Assisting during service where needed to deliver high quality desserts and breads.
Recipe development and training across different teams.
Managing supplier relationships
Supporting, training and motivating the team to deliver outstanding service.
Assisting with stock management, compliance, and financial controls.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Experience as a pastry chef or baker in a restaurant/hospitality environment
Proven ability to manage busy food services and coordinate between departments.
A hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and leads by example.
Organised, reliable, and passionate about fresh food and great hospitality.
Someone who is able to manage their own schedule and help develop a strong pastry programme for a small independent restaurant group.
