SEN Teacher at Leading Primary School in Knowsley

Our client is a highly-rated primary school in Knowsley, Liverpool, dedicated to providing exceptional education for children with special educational needs. RoleRole & Responsibilities

As a dedicated SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the lives of young learners with autism, ADHD, and severe learning difficulties. You'll craft engaging and tailored lessons, creating a structured and consistent classroom environment where these children can thrive. You'll be empowered to make a real difference, working collaboratively within a supportive team. You will directly impact the lives of these children, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Main tasks include

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
* Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students with complex needs.
* Employ effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
* Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., therapists, teaching assistants) to develop and implement individualised education programs.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience teaching children with SEN in a UK primary school setting
* Experience with children with autism, ADHD, and severe learning difficulties
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Passion for supporting children with complex needs
* Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
* A positive and proactive approach to teaching
* Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities
