Clinical Psychologist – Mental health and complex challenging care - Multi-Site Nursing Homes
Location: West Midlands,North West & Yorkshire
Part-time: 3 days per week (7.5 hours per day))
Salary: Negotiable - Depending on Experience
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Clinical Psychologist to work as part of the clinical team providing psychology and behavioural specialist services.

Key Responsibilities:
* To conduct psychological, systemic and psychometric assessments to devise robust care planning
* To analyse effectiveness of psychological input around a residents presentations, level of incident, well being and engagement
* To provide reports, guidelines, reactive plans and risk assessments
* To monitor and analyse data as appropriate
* To provide mentorship and guidance to staff to implement behavioural plans
* To develop and provide staff training
* To guide and support Assistant Psychologists with clinical supervisions and CPD
* To liaise with clinical colleagues regarding the individual issues of concern
* To attend weekly team MDT meetings
* To be flexible to travel to all 4 services .
Qualifications / Professional registration
* Registered with HCPC
* Qualified Clinical Psychologist
* Experience in fast pace and challenging environment and providing effect assessment and treatment for people with complex mental health and dementia.
Skills
* Excellent communication and listening skills, to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds, motivate clients and gain trust. Clients may be uncooperative because they're frightened, frustrated or disorientated by their situation
* Patience, as progress may be slow - involving repetitive exercises to aid clients who have problems memorising, processing and retaining information
* Creativity and problem-solving skills, to design programmes appropriate for different learning styles and communication issues
* Ability to work in a team across different professions as part of the MDT process
* Organisational skills and flexibility, to deal with a range of clients in varied settings
* Ability to be at ease in a care home environment
* Qualities such as empathy, assertiveness, tact, a sense of humour and physical and mental stamina
* Experience with assessing and treating residents with mental health and dementia.
Work experience
* Experience within hospital, community or nursing home environment
* Preferred experience or work related experience within a social care sector is desired
