Being a Lifeguard with us is great as you will develop life-long skills like teamwork and communication. It is one of our most rewarding jobs and leaves you feeling really great at the end of a shift and you get to meet people from all walks of life and make lifelong friends with your colleagues. We are offering fully funded training in the recognised NPLQ lifeguarding qualification which will give you the skills to excel.
Our Lifeguards are an integral part of our team and have gone on to become Swim Teachers, Supervisors and even more, we will support you to develop to reach your potential!
Requirements for training course:
1. Be 16+ years of age on the date of assessment
2. Jump / dive into deep water
3. Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
4. Swim 100 metres continuously on front and 100m continuously on back
5. In deep water, tread water for 30 seconds
6. Surface dive to the floor of the pool
7. Climb out of the pool unaided without using a ladder / steps where the pool design permits

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis)
Requirements
8. Willingness to gain the NPLQ qualification
9. Enhanced DBS check to be carried out
10. Competent swimmer – swim test will need to be completed as part of the interview process.
11. An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff.
12. Well developed interpersonal skills.
13. Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues.
14. To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers.
15. Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry.
