St. Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, Surrey is situated in greenbelt parkland between Woking and Chertsey near junction 11 of the M25. It is also close to junction 2 of the M3 with good transport links to the surrounding area.
The main centres of population served by the hospital are Woking, Weybridge, Chertsey, Staines and Walton on Thames. Originally St. Peter’s Hospital was built to serve casualties of the Second World War. Over the years, the Hospital has been rebuilt, developed and extended to include maternity services, a department/clinic area and a new theatre complex.
Services include:
* Accident and emergency services
* Emergency surgical and medical care
* Elective and day-case surgery
* Orthopaedics (Rowley Bristow unit)
* Maternity care
* Paediatric services (children’s services)
* Neonatal intensive care unit which provides care for acutely ill babies
* Outpatients and diagnostics; X ray, ultrasound, CT scans, endoscopy (using cameras to look inside the body) and MRI scans
* Pathology services (provided through the Surrey and Berkshire Pathology Service)
Ashford Hospital, situated on the A30 to the west of London, close to the junction 13 of the M25 and Heathrow Airport.
The hospital continues to provide a wide range of medical and mainly day surgical services, outpatients services, ophthalmology, inpatient rehabilitation, and includes theAshfordWalk-in Centre (run by CSH Surrey).

What are we looking for?
You will be a digital leader with a post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience with experience of leading significant change and delivering tangible and sustained improvements.
You will be familiar with the development of service improvement plans, confident in advising board/senior teams on professional issues and able to engage with patients and key stakeholders. You will have outstanding communication and digital skills with knowledge of a wide range of digital solutions, including Electronic Patients Records used within large acute hospitals and good experience of the impact of using such clinical systems.
You will be confident in building rapport and credibility with digital, clinical and operational colleagues and communicate highly complex, sensitive, contentious information to groups of staff where there may be barriers and resistance to change.
Some evening and weekend work will be required to meet deadlines, so flexibility with regard to working hours is essential.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for: -
* Leading the portfolio of digital programmes and project delivery across all sites and the management of the Digital Programme Management Office (PMO).
* Defining and delivery of all digital programmes and projects making up the digital delivery portfolio in line with robust baselines of cost, time, scope and quality.
* Ensuring satisfaction across all internal and external stakeholders related to digital project delivery improving the delivery reputation of the digital team. This will include collaboration with other NHS organisations and suppliers.
* Rigorous inspection and development of all digital business cases to ensure that costs and savings are appropriate, identified and deliverable. Review of business cases for major Trust capital building schemes to ensure that digital requirements are identified, and resources are included.
* The role will also promote innovation and champion the development of a clinically appropriate data information culture across the health economy.
* The role is required to collaborate and manage relationships with colleagues in neighbouring NHS Trusts, promoting shared care records and systems integration.
