Our client, a prominent multi-franchise-approved car dealer group established since 1994 and operating across the Southwest, Midlands, and South Wales regions, is seeking a Service Manager to join their Cheltenham dealership. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a busy aftersales team and contribute to delivering exceptional customer service.

* Hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings as required
Duties
* Lead and manage the dealership’s aftersales department to ensure operational efficiency
* Oversee a team comprising 6-7 Vehicle Technicians, 3 Service Advisors, and 2 Workshop Controllers
* Drive customer satisfaction by maximising workshop utilisation and ensuring effective labour sales
* Support and motivate staff to achieve departmental targets and uphold company policies
* Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and health and safety regulations
* Maintain high levels of communication with other departments to facilitate smooth operations
* Monitor and control departmental budgets and costs to optimise profitability
* Present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on department performance as a Service Manager
Requirements
* Proven management experience within a medium to large franchise‑approved dealership’s aftersales or service department
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* IT literacy, including familiarity with dealership management systems
* Valid UK driving license with minimal points
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
* Residing within a reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham
