Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a dedicated and compassionate team providing holistic, person-centred support to individuals who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness - including veterans and those with complex needs.
This is a temporary position running until March 2026, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

The Role As a Support Worker, you'll work with a small caseload of 5-8 customers, allowing you to provide tailored, high-quality support. The focus will be on empowering individuals to gain independence, achieve their personal goals, and maintain sustainable accommodation.
You will:
Provide support around areas such as mental health, substance misuse, housing, benefits, and education or employment opportunities.
Develop, review, and update individual support plans and risk assessments.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies, private landlords, and support services.
Promote independence, build trusting relationships, and help individuals develop the skills to manage on their own.
Work flexibly across different locations and occasionally outside standard office hours to meet client needs.
About You We are looking for someone with a positive, solution-focused approach who is passionate about helping others. While previous experience in a similar role is desirable, a strong motivation to support vulnerable individuals is essential.
You will have:
Experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying needs.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviours.
Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team.
Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
A good understanding of safeguarding, housing support, and local support services.
Desirable (D):
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field
Knowledge of housing-related support and homelessness issues
Experience working with vulnerable groups in 1:1 or group settings
Understanding of training, employment, and educational pathways
Up-to-date safeguarding training
Additional Information
Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable people is essential.
A full UK driving licence may be advantageous depending on location.
