About the Role - Day Coach (Ninfield)

This is an exciting moment for SuperCare as we open our new Learning Disabilities children's home in Ninfield. The young people you'll support have a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, ASC, non-verbal communication, epilepsy, Down syndrome and global developmental delay. They rely on patient, consistent adults who understand their routines, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and the importance of predictability.

As a Day Coach (Support Worker), you'll be the steady, caring presence who helps them feel safe, understood, and supported through everyday tasks, challenges, and breakthroughs.

-----------------------------------

What You'll Do

As a Day Coach, you'll be immersed in their daily lives, supporting their routines, independence and well being:

* Support children with ASD, ADHD, ASC or GDD who may experience anxiety, dysregulation, meltdowns or difficulties with transitions.

* Encourage healthy routines such as waking, meals, personal care, structured activities and learning.

* Support non-verbal children using communication aids, symbols, visual schedules or alternative communication tools.

* Monitor and respond to medical needs, including epilepsy management and individual care plans.

* Help children build independence through tasks like cleaning rooms, organising belongings and washing clothes.

* Support emotional regulation with patience, gentleness and consistent strategies.

* Respond to incidents in a calm, child-centred and safe manner, following safeguarding procedures at all times.

* Drive young people to activities, school or appointments (full UK licence desired due to the remote location).

-----------------------------------

What We're Looking For

We want warm, resilient people who genuinely care about supporting children with learning disabilities:

* Experience supporting children or young people with autism, ADHD, ASC, non-verbal communication, epilepsy, Down syndrome or global developmental delay.

* Minimum 1 year experience in a residential childcare setting.

* Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (or willingness to complete).

* Confident supporting behaviours that challenge or moments of dysregulation.

* Patient, nurturing and able to stay calm when routines change or emotions run high.

* Comfortable guiding children through personal care, daily routines and independence-building.

* Able to use communication tools for children who are non-verbal or have limited speech.

* Full UK driving licence required.

-----------------------------------

Competitive Salaries

* During Probation: £13.29/hr on weekdays, £15.23/hr on weekends (Avr. £25,900 per annum)
* Post Probation: £14.41/hr on weekdays, £16.62/hr on weekends (Avr. £28,000 per annum)
-----------------------------------

-----------------------------------
