About the Role - Day Coach (Ninfield)
This is an exciting moment for SuperCare as we open our new Learning Disabilities children's home in Ninfield. The young people you'll support have a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, ASC, non-verbal communication, epilepsy, Down syndrome and global developmental delay. They rely on patient, consistent adults who understand their routines, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and the importance of predictability.
As a Day Coach (Support Worker), you'll be the steady, caring presence who helps them feel safe, understood, and supported through everyday tasks, challenges, and breakthroughs.
-----------------------------------
What You'll Do
As a Day Coach, you'll be immersed in their daily lives, supporting their routines, independence and well being:
* Support children with ASD, ADHD, ASC or GDD who may experience anxiety, dysregulation, meltdowns or difficulties with transitions.
* Encourage healthy routines such as waking, meals, personal care, structured activities and learning.
* Support non-verbal children using communication aids, symbols, visual schedules or alternative communication tools.
* Monitor and respond to medical needs, including epilepsy management and individual care plans.
* Help children build independence through tasks like cleaning rooms, organising belongings and washing clothes.
* Support emotional regulation with patience, gentleness and consistent strategies.
* Respond to incidents in a calm, child-centred and safe manner, following safeguarding procedures at all times.
* Drive young people to activities, school or appointments (full UK licence desired due to the remote location).
