Role Overview: Planning and Strategy Manager
The Planning and Strategy Manager role is diverse and involves significant senior stakeholder interaction and management. This role is responsible for Strategy and Planning activities within Wholesale, designing and leading the implementation of commercial initiatives, and playing a key role in developing the Medium Term Plan (MTP) with a cross-functional team.
Key responsibilities include understanding the enablers and dependencies of the operational and commercial plans, working with virtual teams to advance initiatives, contributing to the overall Wholesale strategy, and supporting strategic inquiries from the Business Leadership Team (BLT). The role also involves performing detailed commercial analysis for monthly reviews and quarterly budget assessments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the preparation, consolidation, and facilitation of Wholesale monthly Business Unit Review (BUR), MTP, and governance forums, ensuring all actions are tracked.
2. Prepare responses to strategic queries from Business leadership teams based on market analysis and customer insights.
3. Ensure planning activities are aligned with trading activities to capitalize on opportunities and address financial gaps promptly.
4. Report on Wholesale strategic KPIs to monitor sector performance.
5. Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders on various initiatives, ensuring commercial impacts are clearly communicated.
