Electrical Improvers
Electrical Improvers required for a long-term project in Corby, Northamptonshire – easily commutable from Kettering, Market Harborough, Wellingborough, Northampton, and Peterborough.
My client, is currently seeking experienced Electrical Improvers to support works on a major distribution warehouse project in Corby. This is a long-term opportunity offering consistent hours and a chance to be part of a high-performing team on a large-scale build.
Project Overview
The project involves the full containment installation across a major distribution warehouse. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation of basket, tray, and associated metal containment systems throughout the facility. This is a key phase of the build and requires individuals who are confident in their abilities, experienced with industrial containment work, and committed to delivering quality installations to tight deadlines.
Key Duties
• Installation of containment systems – including metal basket, tray, and trunking
• Assisting electricians with cable pulls, terminations, and general installation works
• Ensuring all works are carried out to high standards in line with site requirements
• Following all health and safety protocols and reporting any issues as required
• Working effectively as part of a team and taking instruction from supervisors on site
Requirements
• Previous experience as an Electrical Improver on commercial or industrial sites
• Strong containment experience is essential – must be confident working with basket and tray
• Valid ECS card – essential
• IPAF certification – essential (due to working at height and access requirements)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
Pay & Hours
• £20.50 per hour (CIS/Umbrella)
• 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Long-term ongoing work for the right candidates
