An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Band 7 Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to work with the Aberdeen City Integrated Drug and Alcohol Service (DAS).
This post involves the delivery of occupation-centred assessment and treatment, underpinned by a population-based, public health perspective. The role includes robust data gathering and outcome measures aligned with an occupation-focused model.
The Aberdeen City DAS team is supportive and approachable, comprising a Consultant Psychiatrist, specialists in psychology, community nurses, and social workers.
The post holder should have relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist with marginalized communities and individuals with complex needs, including co-morbid health problems. An understanding of how an occupational perspective can positively impact health inequalities, health, wellbeing, and recovery from substance use issues is essential.
Applicants interested in part-time work, secondment, or job sharing will be considered. The role requires travel; therefore, holding a full driving license is essential.
Applicants must be registered with the HCPC.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available.
