We are currently recruiting two Analysts to join our team, one on a permanent basis and the other on a fixed-term contract until March 2027. These hybrid-based positions work two/three days from our HQ in Coventry and the remainder remotely from home. Working as part of a specialist team, these roles have responsibility to collect and analyse a vast amount of data sets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis from different sources to produce key industry figures on agricultural market information. The successful candidates must have a flair for data capture and an interest in presenting data in new and innovative ways. They will also have a keen eye for detail and excellent planning and organisational skills. Responsibilities Collect, collate, verify and quality assure data to produce key industry data sets Follow quality assurance processes to ensure data sets are accurate and robust Present data for review in tables and graphs and clearly communicate the results of quality assurance procedures Manage time and workload appropriately to ensure strict reporting deadlines are met Disseminate finalised data sets to internal and external customers and update relevant information on the AHDB website Utilise the latest software available to present data in clear, concise and innovative ways Take a proactive role in seeking and implementing initiatives that drive process excellence, improve data quality and/or improve services Engage and develop effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders Take responsibility for the key stages of projects, demonstrating accountability throughout Keep up to date with appropriate industry and technological developments to ensure outputs are accurate and relevant Essential Criteria Professional qualification to at least degree standard in a numerate discipline, or equivalent experience Experience of working in a data-oriented environment and handling large data sets Experience working in a routine, deadline-driven role, with evidence of accurately following processes A confident communicator with excellent planning and organising skills High level of attention to detail Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience in Microsoft Power Platform, e.g. Power BI, Power Query and Access, and in delivering small projects is also desirable The Benefits… We believe in rewarding our people for their hard work, so we have a great mix of benefits and opportunities to give you the recognition you deserve: 35 hours per week, to include hybrid working 33 days of annual leave plus one privilege day (inclusive of bank holidays) Life assurance cover (4x salary) A market-leading defined contribution pension scheme with Legal & General Enhanced pay of 20 weeks for maternity, adoption and shared parental leave, subject to length of service Comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme Excellent training and development opportunities and an agreed development plan Recognition awards throughout the year Access to the Government’s tax-free childcare scheme Reward Gateway membership - this gives you a huge number of online discounts and savings Apply now, or call 024 7693 5722 if you require any further information.
