We are now actively seeking a Business Development Executive to join our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team. Our local Commercial division has grown rapidly over the last 14 years and now comprises over 200 colleagues across the UK. In this role, you will focus on identifying, developing, and nurturing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with prospective and existing clients. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to exceed growth objectives and expand our presence within the local market.


About You

* You have proven experience in generating new business and building long‑term relationships with B2B clients.
* You're passionate about business development — from marketing and community engagement to networking, outreach, and client meetings. You understand that your visibility in the market directly fuels your success.
* You're tenacious, commercially curious, and proactive in identifying and converting new opportunities.
* You're eager to learn and grow. Every day will bring something different, and this role offers a strong platform for career progression and further professional development.
* You take a consultative approach, asking the right questions, listening actively, and fully understanding client needs. You can confidently recommend suitable solutions and always look for a "path to yes."
