This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established maintenance team and play a key role in keeping production equipment and site facilities operating efficiently.The RoleThe Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work proactively across a wide variety of manufacturing equipment, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and safe operation throughout the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively deliver PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) across a range of manufacturing equipmentDiagnose and resolve equipment faults and breakdownsReact promptly to repairs and health & safety-related issuesCarry out general building and facility repairs as requiredSupport and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesUndertake additional reasonable duties to support the efficient running of the siteEducation & Essential QualificationsRecognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical engineeringMinimum City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ, BTEC, or ONCAt least 5 years' experience within a multi-skilled industrial maintenance environmentBS7671 IEE 18th Edition qualificationEssential Experience & SkillsWell-organised with strong interpersonal skillsSolid experience in a multi-skilled industrial environmentStrong fault-finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical circuitsGood problem-solving abilityStrong knowledge of Health & Safety regulationsDesirable Qualifications/SkillsIOSH safety qualificationComputer literate (Excel, Outlook, Word)MEWP licenceFLT licenceC&G 2391 Electrical Inspection & TestingLEV P601 qualificationKey CompetenciesReliable, confident, and enthusiasticStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMethodical and well-organised approachAble to work proactively, as part of a team, and under pressureBasic machining competenciesAbility to follow set guidelines and proceduresFlexible attitude with willingness to learn new skillsIf you are an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge in a supportive and fast-paced manufacturing environment, Reed Engineering would love to hear from you.Apply today to be considered for this excellent opportunity!
