We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Burton Latimer. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, training, and the chance to be part of a highly skilled production team.

Salary: £29,243.80 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
* Assembly and fitting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components to 3.5T commercial vehicles in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Carrying out function checks and quality inspections upon completion of installations
* Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
* Completing vehicle mechanical and hydraulic installations, including wiring, panel work, and component fitting
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems during build
* Using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools to complete work to a high standard
* Following Health & Safety and Environmental policies at all times
* Supporting continuous improvement by contributing to process improvements and efficiencies
Requirements
* Have proven experience in engineering assembly or fitting within a manufacturing environment
* Be confident working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Have knowledge of applying torque, fitting flow restrictors, filters, and valve banks
* Possess good hand tool skills and experience with pneumatic/power tools
* Be able to carry out wiring, loom preparation, splicing, termination, and crimping
* Have the ability to work from technical drawings and schematics
* Be safety-conscious and able to follow risk assessments and use PPE correctly
* Be proactive, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work
