Test Technician
We are seeking a Test Technician to join the test and MAIT team of our client in the space industry. Their technology is used in low Earth orbit satellites, helping drive advances in Earth observation, telecommunications, and the opportunity to contribute to real missions that are launched into space. As a Test Technician, your main responsibility will be to test their portfolio of exciting products. You will work alongside test engineers and MAIT team, leading to better mentorship, exposure, and a stronger sense of ownership over products. This will include scheduling, conducting and writing up testing activities as detailed in the test procedures.
Skills needed for the Test Technician:
* Prior experience as a Test Technician, ideally in Space, Nuclear or Aerospace
* Proficient in test procedures and protocols
* Report writing and document analysis skills
* Knowledge of testing equipment e.g. Thermal vacuum chambers, thermal chamber, laser scanner
* Proficient with MS Office
* Proactive and innovative approach to problem solving presenting findings and solutions
Key Responsibilities for the Test Technician:
* Test products for mechanical and thermal sub-system and system-level functionality, safety, capabilities, compliance and performance
* Responsible for preparing and conducting prescribed tests
* Assemble test setups, thermal, mechanical, RF, and electronic/electrical
* Accountable for the safe operation of the test equipment and hardware
* Support the creation and maintenance
