Salary: £155,000 to £160,000 per annum
West London Waste Authority (WLWA) is seeking an exceptional Managing Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for one of the UK's largest waste and resource management partnerships, serving six West London boroughs.
With accountability for a £75m revenue budget and £270m in assets, this is a high-profile role at the heart of delivering safe, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable waste services, recycling systems, and Net Zero and Circular Economy programmes.
Reporting to the Authority and its Members, the Managing Director will lead WLWA's Senior Leadership Team and workforce, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture. You will oversee major infrastructure, partnerships, and contracts, ensuring strong governance, resilience, and financial stewardship.
The role also represents WLWA nationally and regionally, influencing policy, securing funding, and shaping the future of sustainable resource management.
The successful candidate will bring substantial senior leadership experience at Director level or above, a strong record of managing large budgets and assets, and proven success in complex stakeholder and political environments. Outstanding communication, strategic partnership, and change leadership skills are essential.
