We’re looking for a Fundraising & Volunteering Trainee to deliver the membership, supporters and volunteering administration for Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.
In this role, you’ll ensure our membership, supporter and volunteering processes are efficient. This includes keeping our databases and banking procedures up to date and be the first line of contact for member, supporter and volunteer queries. You will also be responsible for delivering the administration of the online school's programme.
To be successful, you will be highly organised, able to manage a diverse and structured workload; and be able to work autonomously and as an active member of a team.
In this role, you’ll support by:
* Accurately updating and amending our databases with new and resigned members, supporters and volunteers in line with GDPR and data protection policies
* Processing membership, supporter and donation transactions by running the Direct Debit collections and adding donations into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM database)
* Sending and responding to member, supporter and volunteer administration communications by phone, email and in person. This could include welcome packs and letters for new members and ongoing email communication journeys
* Manage the administration of the online schools booking programme.
To be successful you will need to:
* Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, with the ability to efficiently manage and accurately process large volumes of information.
* Possess excellent organisational skills, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and meet multiple deadlines.
* Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, while confidently engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
* Be highly self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and maintain focus without constant supervision.

About You
This role might be right for you if:
* You are highly organised with a keen attention to detail and can be methodical in your approach to tasks
* You have excellent customer service skills and can communicate clearly with others
* You may have some experience with digital data entry and maintaining records in databases, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office programs like Excel—but this is not essential. We're looking for someone who is willing to learn and comfortable working with digital tools.
* You are able to work effectively on your own initiative and as a member of a small team
* You are adaptable to changing priorities and demands

This role will be based at our office in Middleton although a balance of home and office working will be allowed. We operate a 9-day fortnight working pattern to ensure our team has flexibility and a work-life balance. We are a local charity so applicants should be easily able to access our office and other locations around the county.
