Who You Are As a Planner or Principal Planner within the Bexley Development Management Division, you are responsible, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision. You should possess a degree or higher qualification in a relevant field such as town planning and have proven communication skills. Membership in the RTPI may be required, alongside a minimum of two years of relevant town planning experience. What the Job Involves The role entails processing various planning applications, from minor works to major developments, and defending the Council's position at appeals and public inquiries. As a Planner, you will support your Team Leader, contribute to committee meetings, and provide expert advice to colleagues, elected members, and the public. Principal Planners will handle more complex cases and take a lead role in representing the Development Management Division in corporate projects and committees.
