NHS Highland offers an exciting opportunity to learn while you earn through our Modern Apprenticeship Programme. Applicants must be aged between 16 and 24 at the start date (up to 29 for disabled or care-experienced applicants).
We seek an enthusiastic individual eager to develop skills in administration and interested in a career in Human Resources. The successful candidate will receive support to complete an SVQ in Business and Administration (SCQF Level 6).
Role Overview
The Resourcing Team manages recruitment, bank and agency engagements across NHS Highland. Responsibilities include handling enquiries, employment checks, recording leave, and other administrative tasks. Candidates should be committed to learning, with good communication, understanding of procedures, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
Candidate Profile
* No prior sector experience required; open to school leavers and those with limited work experience.
* Interest in administrative roles and a positive work attitude.
* Good keyboard skills and ability to understand processes.
Additional Details
The role is graded as Band 2, with pay starting at 70% of the full rate in Year 1 and increasing to 75% in Year 2, uplifted to the Scottish Living Wage (£12.60/hr). The position is based at Assynt House, Inverness, full-time (37 hours/week), reducing to 36 from April 2026.
