About the Role As a Transport Planner, you’ll be responsible for both strategic and day-to-day transport planning across our Hub Network. You’ll create, execute, and review transport plans using Ortec and TMS systems, ensuring they’re accurate, cost-effective, and deliver a premium service. You’ll work closely with Hub teams to make sure plans are achievable and support operational excellence. Responsibilities Create and maintain daily transport plans using Ortec and TMS systems. Optimise routes for cost efficiency and service performance. Monitor and adjust plans based on real-time operational changes. Analyse transport data to identify trends and improve accuracy. Collaborate with Hub teams to ensure plan adherence and resolve issues. Model and forecast transport capacity for peak periods. Provide cost analysis and recommendations for new transport activities. Support change programmes and embed new planning processes. Deliver accurate reporting on plan vs actual performance and KPIs.
