The Client
Our client is a National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP). Their expertise includes the design, construction, installation, connection, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of underground cables, overhead lines, and electrical infrastructure from LV to 11Kv – 132Kv.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead high voltage (HV) power sector projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, growing company specializing in electrical infrastructure within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure projects, from planning to handover.
* Oversee site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedule and budget.
* Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients for seamless project execution.
* Lead project reporting, risk management, and financial control.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and company policies.
* Supervise HV switching activities in accordance with DNO and private network procedures.
* Serve as the primary client contact during project execution.
* Promote continuous improvement and contribute to strategic planning.
* Perform AP/SAP responsibilities for planned and fault works across the UK.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
* Proven project management experience within the electrical or utilities sector.
* Competency in HV switching operations, ideally authorized under DNO or IDNO.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and CDM.
* Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Project Management.
* Certifications such as SMSTS, ECS, or similar safety qualifications.
* SAP/AP/CP authorization on HV networks.
* Familiarity with NEC or JCT contract frameworks.
* Salary range: £55,000–£65,000 per annum (DOE).
* Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.
* Company vehicle or allowance, expenses, and travel covered (excluding commuting to/from depot).
