Volunteer Trainee Instructor at CMC Adventure Pensarn Harbour
STARTING September 2025
We offer several voluntary positions to committed Christians who want to develop a career in the outdoors whilst at the same time sharing their Christian faith with those who come to the centre. The Volunteer Trainee Programme provides an opportunity for enthusiastic young Christians to launch a career in the outdoors. CMC has nearly sixty years of experience in running outdoor courses and prides itself on high standards.
You do not need any qualifications to come as a Volunteer Trainee Instructor; however some experience of Outdoor adventurous activities will be an advantage. You need to know that you enjoy being in the outdoors and sharing it with others. A great many CMC trainees have gone on to have successful careers in the outdoors.
We offer as part of your training to volunteer at CMC Adventure.
Training and Assessment courses.
* Single Pitch award
* Paddle sport Safety and Rescue, Sea Kayak Award, Paddle Sport Instructor
It is also possible to gain RYA Power Boat Level 2, RYA Safety Boat and Sailing Level 1 and 2 if you are progressing well in your qualifications.
Programmed training opportunities and time to gain experience towards qualifications.
A monthly allowance to contribute towards your direct expenses.
Full board and accommodation whilst you are volunteering with us.

For this post, it is important that you are committed to CMC Adventure’s Christian ethos, working principles and vision and can demonstrate this through your commitment, motivation and service. It is therefore an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.
