EHS Specialist (Contract)
We’re supporting a regulated life sciences site in Oxfordshire that’s seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to provide hands-on, onsite support on a contract basis .
Working closely with the site EHS lead, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe and compliant operations across laboratories, facilities, and contractor activities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and update risk assessments across lab, facility, and construction activities
* Prepare and deliver EHS training for site teams
* Complete and review COSHH assessments in line with UK regulations
* Draft, review, and standardise SOPs
* Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
* Review RAMS and Permits to Work for onsite contractors
* Provide day-to-day EHS advice to operational teams
Requirements
* Experience in an EHS advisory or specialist role within a regulated environment (pharma, biotech, labs, or similar)
* Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation
* Confident producing practical EHS documentation (risk assessments, SOPs, COSHH)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) required; NEBOSH Diploma preferred
* Able to work fully onsite
