Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Term Time Only

Hours: 8:45am – 3:00pm (Term Time Only)
A friendly and supportive primary school in the Ribbleton area is seeking a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from 13th April 2026.
This role will involve providing general classroom support as the main Teaching Assistant within a Year 3 class, working closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils are supported in their learning and development. The school is looking for someone who is confident, proactive and able to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.
The Role
* Providing general classroom support as the main TA within a Year 3 class
* Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and learning tasks
* Supporting pupils with their learning both individually and in small groups
* Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive and well-organised classroom environment
* Confidently communicating with the class teacher, pupils and parents when required
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* 8:45am – 3:00pm
* Term time only
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds a childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification
* Has previous experience supporting within a primary classroom
* Is confident communicating with teachers, pupils and parents
* Is organised, patient and enthusiastic when supporting children’s learning
* May be interested in securing a permanent Teaching Assistant role in the future

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
